Purpose: The ad uses little text and imagery to appear mysterious. This causes people to be curious and excited for the new game.
Audience: The only aspecific audience are people that play video games. There is no aim towards a specific age, gender, or ethnicity.
Genre: The genre of the ad is dark and mysterious. There is little text and the only vivid color is green. This ad is similar to other big name games. Usually with popular franchises in video games; the ads consist of a dark background with minimal text. With popular franchises such as Call of Duty; gamers are already excited for the video game and the ads have no need to show any action filled images.
Tone: The dark colors and minimal text cause a sense of mystery that gets gamers excited for the game.
What does this line look like to you? It seems to me like they are specifically referencing something, and you will want to consider why they are doing so.
ReplyDeleteWhen I looked at this ad, it grabbed my attention with strong green wave in black background. I agree with the tone of the ad which is dark and mysterious, however, it needs more explanation of why this ad appeals to video game players only.
